Have you gotten your tree up yet? I just finished working on mine this week. The boys enjoyed helping with the tree and with this project…haha
Do want to make a really easy tree skirt? You are just in luck. So I took a circular table cloth I had on hand (actually the previous owner of this house, left it in the garage! FREE)
Fold the tablecloth in fourths
Then starting at the corner of the table cloth, draw an arc. I used a piece of string and a pen to draw an even line.
Cut on the line
Unfold and admire your new tree skirt! lol
I thought this was the easiest way to make one because honestly, who wants to hem around a huge circle? Not me. So that’s why I went with the already done for me circular tablecloth. If you don’t have one laying around, they’re aren’t that expensive so it is also very frugal!
I love that they left a christmas table cloth! I love that you made it into a skirt and yeah who does want to hem one. It also looks really good, so yay you
ReplyDeleteThat is so cute! I need a new one this year as well!
ReplyDeleteThat is so smart! You've really made me think... We always get a live tree for our main living area (aside from the other 12 trees I put everywhere else). But my one problem is watering the tree. I'm thinking if I bought a vinyl flannel backed table cloth that would keep me from dibbling water all over our carpet!

This is awesome! Especially since I think I have an old round tablecloth. Thanks for the idea!
