Yesterday my husband and I had fun putting together a fort made of K'Nex and blankets for our son. My husband came up with the design and told me which pieces to use because I've never played with them. (We used red and grey sticks along with mostly blue but a couple yellow and purple connectors, in case you wanted to know ;-D)It turned out really fun and Andrew loves it. He especially loves jump out of it to surprise us when the blankets are draped down a bit more.

Where I've Been...
It sure has been a while since I've blogged. I don't really have one specific excuse for why I haven't blogged or crafted. I guess it's been a lot of winter time sluggishness combined with the fact that I don't have a car anymore during the day and I've been somewhat preoccupied by the thought of our new HOME! We are almost done with the whole process, we just need to get the inspection done and after that, well I don't know what else there is...
Despite not crafting I have been researching front load washers and dryers for many hours trying to find the perfect pair (at the perfect price of course), I've been combing the internet for decorating ideas, thinking about paint colors I'd like in our home (I think we're pretty much going to need to paint the whole place), slowly starting the packing process and purging things we don't use/need. Another big part has been the winter, I just don't feel like doing anything when the days are so short.
A couple weekends ago I was able to use the car for a little while and go to Deseret Industries. I found a sewing table in great condition! It actually came with a sewing machine so I'll have to see how it works.
I'm thinking of painting this white and adding some new hardware...we'll see, it's going to have to wait until we get in the house and actually have a yard to work in! woot woot!
Here are some of my beginning ideas for our house, in no way to I claim to be an interior designer, so yes, they are pretty amateur and basic.

Gathered Clutch and Key Fob
Now that this Christmas gift has been delivered I can finally share this with you. I tried my hand at Noodlehead's Gathered Clutch tutorial. Mine turned out okay. It definitely didn't gather as cute as hers. The key for idea came from Prudent Baby. I didn't follow the directions exactly and I used a different hardware that I found at Joann's. I think I'll make another one of these, it was really easy and turned out pretty good.
I added two more spaces for cards than what her tutorial shows.
