As They Grow Children’s Consignment Sale

*****Winners have been picked: Erin, George, and Wilka check your email or get in touch with me somehow! ******

We all look for ways to save money.

One of the biggest ways I’ve saved money with three kids is on their clothing. It doesn’t have to be expensive to clothe your kids.

One thing I just recently discovered is a local consignment sale called As They Grow. It is amazing!

They run 4 sales a year, the next one is the fall Henderson detour sale. Detour? What does that mean exactly? Well, they ran into some issues securing a location in Henderson so they’re going to be at a location at Craig and Rancho.

Anyway, why is this sale so special? 60,000+ new and gently used items for a fraction of retail!! You’ll find everything here; Newborn up to Junior Clothing & Shoes, Designer & Boutique Brands, Baby Swings, High Chairs & Bouncers, Strollers & Exersaucers, Games, Books & DVDs, Indoor & Outdoor Play Toys, Furniture, Bedding & Décor, Dancewear & Sporting Goods & so much more…

Here are some pictures from last sale…

So if you’re local to Vegas, make sure to stop by between November 14-16th to score some amazing deals for that little person in your life!

I’m excited to find some bigger church shoes for Ben, some walking around shoes for Cadence, and some pieces to coordinate our outfits for family photos! I can’t wait to share my haul with you!

I'm giving away 3 'skip the line passes' so if you're local you'll want to enter! Leave a comment with what you will be shopping for at the sale... clothes? Christmas gifts? shoes?

I'll pick winners on Tuesday Thursday (my bad I confused my days, sale opens on Friday to the public so you have until Thursday to enter)! Make sure to leave your email or don't comment as 'no reply' or I won't have anyway to contact you if you win!

  1. I've never been to the sale. But I've been hearing a lot of hype. So I am considering going but I'm not sure I would have the patience to wait in a line. Are there really lines at these things? Like all day? Anyway, a line pass would definitely convince me to go. Shopping for clothes, toys, and books (can you get books at these things?)

    1. It totally depends on the day and time. Sometimes you can walk right up, but occasionally everyone decides to check out at the same time. I think they do a very good job and get everyone though as quick as possible. I've never had to wait when the line was super long, just saw it when I was there as a vendor once. I would say absolutely no more than an hour? but probably less...hope that helps. Yes, there are tons of books to browse though!

    2. Yes, there are lines!! But it is worth it! I got there at opening time last time (just before 10), and I waited at least 20 minutes to get inside. THAT is worth it too, because even though there is tons of stuff, if you are looking for specific things, you want to get there when there is great selection. The checkout line that day was about 20 minutes as well (clear to the back of the store, and more) - but for being that many people, it moved very fast. The sale is VERY well organized. I went back at lower traffic times and didn't have much wait at all.

  3. I love this sale, and this location is walking distance from my house! Handy since I won't be able to use our car! I will be shopping for Christmas gifts for our 21 month old (tricycle, table and chairs or tools workbench, outdoor play gear - slide?...not all of it, but whatever I can find at the right price!), and a double stroller to accommodate our baby on the way. Now that I look at my list of things, I wonder how I will do it without a car! Last time I had to leave things behind to pick up after my husband got off work.

  4. I will hopefully be going for the first time. Just have to work out a few scheduling things. I'm mostly looking for clothes and shoes for my kids now that the season is changing and they've grown more. I hate paying full retail so I'm excited to see what ATG has to offer.

  5. Winning one of the "skip the line" passes would be amazing for me right now. Ordinarily, I expect long lines at such events and don't mind them, but I'm not physically prepared for it in this instance. I'm 29 weeks pregnant with our first child and got very sick over the past weekend. Luckily, my fever broke and I'm on the mend, but winning this pass would mean I could expend more energy shopping for what our baby boy needs - lots of gear and clothes. Skipping the lines at checkout means I get to keep my strength up, especially if one car load doesn't get it all back down to Henderson for me. I need a pack-n-play, a walker, a swing, a vibrating chair, a high chair ... the list goes on :) If you see me in line, I'm the one in the blue surgical mask - gimme a wave ;)

Setting up the bedroom for my two foster children, coming in April. The room is empty now and I know I can pick up a pack and play, maybe a crib, a stroller, some starter clothes, and a few toys for a decent price. Went last time and picked up tons of clothes for my students at a local elementary school. Can't wait to see how things go this time!
