Disclosure: I received free business cards from BuildASign to review, opinions are 100% my own.
So if you follow me on Instagram you may have seen that I was in Salt Lake last weekend for the Build Your Blog Conference 2014. It was a blast!
Before I tell you all about it, I gotta give a shout out to BuildASign.com for my awesome business cards. It was actually perfect timing, they contacted me a little before the conference and asked if I would like to do a review for them. I needed some new business cards for networking at the conference and the cards turned out great! They had lots of templates to choose from, great pricing, and really great quality. The card stock is nice and sturdy and the printing is clear and crisp. Oh, and they were FAST! In addition to awesome business cards, they also make banners, yard signs, bumper stickers, and more. All at great prices. I have my eye on a table banner for my Shaklee business. Go check out BuildASign.com and see what they can do for your blog or business!
So back to the conference. I drove up with Cadence and stayed with my husband’s cousin {my cousin-in-law?} Sarah from High, Heels, and Grills. I had tons of fun hanging out Sarah, Sandra, and Meg. Plus I got to meet lots of other awesome bloggers.
On Friday afternoon, the Six Sisters, who put on the conference arranged for some great events at City Creek. Alicia from Chic on a Shoestring had a jean fitting event and gave great tips on finding the right jeans for your body. Albion Fit also had a blogger open house. I really love their workout stuff and their swimsuits are ADORABLE!
I got to wear my cute new hat from Glitterbugz Crochet’d Love, I don’t exactly get to wear beanies in Las Vegas.
One of the sponsors, set us up with a beautiful steak dinner at Christopher’s Steak House. It was soooo good!
After dinner, we had a ‘speed dating’ type event where we got to meet tons of sponsors and network with them.
We got a bag full of awesome swag!
And the Six Sisters also arranged for the Waffle Love truck to park outside of the hotel where the conference was. Oh boy, these babies were wonderful! Honestly the most authentic Liege waffle I’ve had since I lived in Belgium. yumyum.
Cadence was my little conference buddy and she did amazing! We had a fun time just us girls and I got lots of baby snuggles.
She was just a happy camper the whole time.
And I don’t have any pictures of it, but I learned lots too! haha. I went to classes on Google+ (I now have a page! Here), Stacking Ads, Driving Traffic to Your Blog, and an open Q&A panel with a bunch of great bloggers.
It was a lot of info and I’m still processing and making my to-do list. I’m really excited for all I have in store for my blog and I’m super grateful for all of you who’ve been reading and supporting me!
Have a great Monday!
It was so fun meeting you and your cute baby! I hope everything is going well for you and I'm excited to follow you!
ReplyDeleteSo fun meeting you too! I'm so glad I decided to go to BYBC, it was a blast!
DeleteSounds like it was a lot of fun. I wish we had more blogging events in Australia, you are a little too far for me to travel just for the weekend! Nice cards too, hopefully you got to hand lots out to your new found blogging buddies :)
ReplyDeleteIt was so fun. I handed out tons of business cards. You should totally start your own blogger events, maybe just a meetup with other bloggers in your city (Facebook groups are great for this). It's so fun to meet up with other bloggers!
